Overclocking With MSI Afterburner Tutorial

Overclocking your graphics card (GPU) can be a great way to boost performance in games and other graphics-intensive applications. However, it’s important to do it carefully, as overclocking too far can damage your GPU.

One of the most popular overclocking tools is MSI Afterburner. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to use MSI Afterburner to safely overclock your GPU.

Before you start:

• Make sure you have a stable power supply. Overclocking can draw more power, so you need to make sure your power supply can handle it.
• Back up your system. In case something goes wrong, it’s always a good idea to have a backup of your system.
• Monitor your GPU temperatures. As you overclock, your GPU temperatures will increase. Keep an eye on them to make sure they don’t get too high.
• Overclock in small increments. Don’t try to overclock your GPU too much at once. Start with small increments and gradually increase the overclock until you reach a stable setting.
• Be patient. Overclocking can take some time and patience. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t see results immediately.

How to overclock with MSI Afterburner:

1. Download and install MSI Afterburner.
2. Launch MSI Afterburner and click on the “Settings” button.
3. In the “Settings” window, make sure the following options are checked:

• Unlock Voltage Control
• Unlock Voltage Monitoring

4. Click on the “OK” button.
5. In the main MSI Afterburner window, you will see two sliders:

• Core Clock: This slider controls the clock speed of your GPU’s core.
• Memory Clock: This slider controls the clock speed of your GPU’s memory.

6. Increase the Core Clock slider by 10 MHz and click on the “Apply” button.
7. Run a stress test to make sure your GPU is stable. You can use a stress testing tool like FurMark or Unigine Heaven.
8. If your GPU is stable, increase the Core Clock slider by another 10 MHz and run another stress test.
9. Repeat steps 7 and 8 until your GPU is no longer stable.
10. Once your GPU is no longer stable, decrease the Core Clock slider by 10 MHz.
11. Repeat steps 6 to 9 with the Memory Clock slider.
12. Once you have found a stable overclock for your GPU, you can save it as a profile. To do this, click on the “Profile” button and then click on the “Save” button.
